Making the ice cream
this is the recipe and this is the ingedints I had to use.
this is milk i am pouring in the bowl.
This is one can sweetened condensed milk i had to make sure i had put in all of the can in i used the scraper to get all of it out.
we also added cream and brown sugar to the bowl then we beat it with the mixer
this is what it looked like after mixing
i will blog tomorrow with how it turned out it has to stay in the freezer overnight to set.
Hi Toby, I would really like to try your ice cream. We might have to make some when we are back at school. Toby you need to remember to put your capital letters in your writing and in your title. I really love how you took pictures and shared what you were doing during the process. Did it taste great?
ReplyDeleteit is great
ReplyDeleteThis was great fun to make the ice cream with you and to be your photographer for your blog
ReplyDeleteI was very impressed with your initiative on writing your blog, when you couldn't work out, what came next or how to spell a word you used the recipe book and other means to get the words (Mum being mean and not being your dictionary!) Well done, very proud of you
Kia ora Toby,
ReplyDeleteIt is so awesome to see you back in the kitchen again! Ice cream would be a tricky thing to make, so it is great to see you attempting it and having a go!
I appreciate how you have included both photos and a step-by-step process on what you did to make this ice cream. This was such a fantastic idea as it allows your viewers to follow along, and even have a go at making it themselves!
It reminds me of one of the Tasty cooking videos. They create videos which follow along with the recipe, and I could spend hours watching the mesmerizing desserts they make!
Have you ever seen these videos?
If so, which one was your favourite?
Using a scraper to get the last of the condensed milk out of the can was a great idea, and I’m very excited to see the results of your ice cream!
Perhaps you could make a video for your next cooking experiment!
I look forward to seeing what you come up with next.
Nga mihi

ReplyDeletethat ice cream looks fantastic. A little bit of science and math done when making that. Did the ice cream take long to freeze? Were you waiting by the freezer until it was ready? (I know I would be) Did it taste like what you imagined it would?
Great job.
Naomi
yes it did take long to freeze it taked 6 hours
ReplyDeleteMrs King and others have asked for the recipe
ReplyDeleteHere it is
1 can of condensed
milk 400ml cream
400ml milk
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Beat all the ingredients together with an electric beater in a large bowl.
Pour the mixture into a container and place in the freezer until thick about 1-2 hours
Remove from the freezer just before frozen and beat the mixture again then return to the freezer for at least 6 hours or overnight
