This is cheese

I was doing some reading on study ladder and learning about cheese and how it is made.

Mum said she had some different cheese in the fridge if I wanted to taste it.

Double cream blue cheese 

                                           This is the cheese out of the wrapper and this it double cream blue cheese and on the outside it has black wax all around it. The wax on the outside of the cheese helps to stop mould growing on it.

                                        This is me eating the cheese. I thought the cheese tasted gross and I had to spit it out after trying it. Mum laughed at me she thought it was really funny. She likes this cheese on crackers. 

Guess who did it?

Mum went into her secret stash of goodies over the weekend and found this game called Cluedo.
It was tricky to work out what time the cake was eaten who ate the cake and what drink that person had with the cake. 
It was lots of fun. 
I can not wait to play with Mum again. 

Descriptive Writing

Money i draw

                                   This is money that i made. It is a hundred dollar
I draw myself and I used a text box for the hundred dollar note.

Crystal lab

Mum came home from work on Saturday with a crystal lab kit for me to do she got it from the shop.
It has three types of crystals to make it in.
The video is Mum tipping the crystal solution into the glow in the dark one first. I took the video while she did it.

It will take 7 days for the crystals to form on the base and then we can rinse them in water after that once they have charged in light they will glow in the dark I can not wait for that.
Waiting for them to form is no fun It takes ages.

 This is the first step.
I am mixing the crystal solution here in a bowl with hot water.
I used gloves in case i got the water on my hand.

This is the glow in the dark base and the tree that will turn into a crystal snow tree.

 This container may not work. I did not read the instructions. It was not until after I put the solution mix into the container that Mum looked at it and seen it was wrong.
It will be very interesting to see what happens with this one and if it grows any crystals in 7 days.
The water is blue and we can not see any growing in it.
These are called aquamarine crystals if they grow.

We used the last of the crystal mixture from the bowl and put the tree into this dish.

The paper tree will soak the water mixture and create the crystals

They need a warm place.
We have put them next to the fire.

The crystals feel soft at the moment.

 I have touched the ones in the tray.

Mum said if I leave them alone they will get harder and stay on the paper tree.

In the truck

I went for a ride in the truck and i had a trip with dad in the truck and he tipped it not me i was taking the photographs and he was tipping the lime for the farmer

We got the lime from the works in Ross and went to a farm at Taramakau Settlement then had to do it again It was fun when we got back from the farm we had to wash the big bins and got gas so dad was ready for the next morning 

lime helps the grass grow the cows eat the grass

 that is the front of the back trailer there is a ladder on there because that is how you get in to the bin.

finished ice cream

            The ice cream in the bucket and it tastes vanilla but a bit different.

this is the recipe and this is the ingedints I had to use.

 that is vanilla essence going in the bowl.

 this is milk i am pouring in the bowl.

 This is one can  sweetened condensed milk i had to make sure i had put in all of the can in i used the scraper to get all of it out.

we also added cream and brown sugar to the bowl then we beat it with the mixer

this is what it looked like after mixing 

i will blog tomorrow with how it turned out it has to stay in the freezer overnight to set.

Boys Brigade Craft

I have joined the Boys Brigade this year We meet on a Tuesday night

It is fun with lots of games and things to do when we meet

While in lock down my team leader sent me some activities to do 

This mosaic space scene was one of them I had to place the small square dots onto the board to make the picture better

I like that there is planets on there and it can stand up I have it on my wall in my room so i can see it 

i have to hand it in to my team leader when we start again i might be able to get an award at the end of the year for doing this

i had a word find a colour in page and i had to draw a plan of my house and work out the escape route in case of a fire

it was fun doing these things i am looking forward to being able to go back to Boys Brigade when this is all over
